Travis M. is an artist who draws inspiration from his own life experiences, and those who surround him. The Houston native believes there are stories to be heard and he has a duty to tell them. Being deeply inspired by artists such as Common, Nas and Lupe Fiasco he challenges himself to push beyond the boundaries of his favorites. Travis M. constantly seeks to improve his sound by delivering meaningful content in a creative and entertaining way. On his first EP “The MisUnderstood” (October 2014) he showcases his range of abilities through high energy tracks like “BEAST”, uplifting tracks like “Faith”, and seductive tales like “Later Again”. He also exhibits a talent for telling heart-felt stories of eviction, and even suicide through his tracks “Overcast” and “Reason”. In an attempt to push the envelope further he released a mixtape, “Summer Sessions Vol. 1” (August 2015), in which he took on hits of the summer and added his own twist to them. The Houston native covers tracks from Kanye West, Nicki Minaj, Tink, and K Camp to test his limits. The mixtape was hosted by DJ Radio Head. Travis spent the following months graduating from college and asserting himself in the workforce while performing at various showcases as a rapper and spoken word artist. While he continues to grace the stage and reach fans directly he is simultaneously dropping more remixes as he works to release his next project entitled “Meanwhile”. “Meanwhile is kind of like a status update on my endeavors and duels in duality since releasing ‘Summer Sessions’ and graduating.” Mr. M promises to release "Meanwhile" July 2017.
