This 28 year old man of God is using his praise as weapon, as he lifts up the name of Jesus with inspirational gospel melodies. His gospel sound is like no other and his message is clear, ”I just want to live my dream, make music that pleases God and draw people closer to Him.” For the past 4 years Johnathan has been the Choir Director at Inspired Word Church in Chicago, where his father, Bishop Nathaniel Williams is the Pastor. Johnathan began his journey with music, 10 years ago, while in high school. He realized he had a passion for writing after writing poetry in an English class. Some of Johnathan’s musical influences range from Latin Jazz to Broadway musicals. He admires songwriters Stevie Wonder, Andre Crouch, Fred Hammond and gospel innovators like Marvin Winans, Fred Hammond and the Clark Sisters. “I hope my music can impact the Christian community as a whole, as well as people who may not know God fully, but are looking for hope, for relief, for a new start.”
