"Code White" features horn section arrangements by Joe Sullivan, and includes performances by two differently configured groups. The larger band, featuring tenor saxophonist Kirk MacDonald, alto saxophonist Remi Bolduc, and trumpeters Kevin Dean and Joe Sullivan, are supported by rhythmic stalwarts Neil Swainson and Andre White, on bass and drums respectively. The smaller contingent showcases the two saxes, bass and drums. All compositions are by White, with a pronounced variety of tempos, moods, and tonal colors.
