简介
My name is Dale Taylor. I always liked to sing but never really sang in public until taking up Karaoke about twelve years ago. With that experience I’ve become very at ease in front of people, even singing for a dinner crowd at a large hotel in Mexico. My taste in music usually runs to country but when I write they all come out different. Mexican, western, love songs and novelty songs. I sent out my first songs in 2004 and received two nice letters from Avalon Music in Nashville. These are excerpts from one those letters. Quote: “We would like to especially commend you on your demo singer (me). This guy has one of the most commercial voices that I’ve heard in a long time.” His vocals have a richness that at this time is not present with other artists currently on the radio”. People say I sound a lot like Marty Robbins, (I’m extremely flattered). I wrote “Showdown at Socorro”, a gunfighter ballad, as my tribute to Marty. Another song I’m very proud of is “My Folks”, a talking song set to music about growing up and relations with family, kind of like a Red Sovine song. For the little older crowd there’s “Return To the 50’s” that’s sure to bring back some good memories. There’s a little bit of everything on this CD, (except Rap, Hip Hop ect.). I don’t know where my music will take me but I love to sing and love to write and will continue to do so. A lady told me once that she liked the way I write, like Loretta Lynn, writing about things I know. A simpler style I guess, the way I’d like to see country music go back to. I hope you will like it as much as I liked making it.
