简介

"Can you hear it?" With those opening words of one of the most fun, lively and creative songs performed by male vocal artist, Curtis Butler, Elprocomm Revue starts you on an unforgettable musical cruise - to the islands - with "Reggae Jubilee." Listen as Curtis paints the picture of an island jubilee with streets filled with guys and gals dancing and having a good time - "jammin' with a style and attitude." The next stop of the "cruise" is the exotic sound of "Island Soul (Got Me Rollin' On", artistically performed by female vocalist, Cynthia Bowen. Herein lies the inspiration for the album title - "Touch of Island Soul." As you enjoy Cynthia's silky presentation, you can just hear the waves calling you to the islands. Time for a vacation, baby! Now comes our virtual band, Savory Cool, with a kind of island funk, as they perform "On A Trip To Paradise." This vibrant instrumental features their familiar sax and trombone duet, virtually singing to you. Then, Cynthia Bowen comes back with more feeling as she sings "I Wish I'd Never Have To." She's really having such a good time in her island paradise getaway that she maybe she's grown addicted to it. Listen as she, along with heart-warming background vocal harmonies, makes her soulful appeal. And it's not hardly over yet - the musical cruise, that is! Our love duet, Cynthia Bowen and Curtis Butler, team up to put on a dynamic performance in a kind of Latin style love song, "You Really, Really Love." Check out the way they put into words what true love can be like - really, really something special. Oh, by the way, if you ever heard the sound of Bob Marley and enjoyed his style, you are sure to love "Buckle Up", performed by Curtis Butler. While Curtis wrote the music to this piece, his Jamaican co-writer, Godfrey Lewis, was the genius behind the lyrics (the message) of this driving piece. And once again, Cynthia Bowen steps onto the scene with a touch of island soul, releasing her cares and worries in the moderate, salsa-like "Dance In Paradise." You'll feel like dancing along with her. While still maintaining the island pulse on things, Curtis Butler next takes you down a more serious track with "Look The Other Way (Just Ignore Them)." This song is intended to call attention to the painful problem of human trafficking, and we are sure that once you take a moment to listen to it, you'll agree it hits the mark. Sobering indeed, this song! With "You Make Me Feel So Fine", our love duet, Cynthia Bowen and Curtis Butler, turn on all the brilliance. "I'm glad it's real 'cause you make me feel so fine, so fine", is the way they beautifully describe how a couple's genuine love for each other keeps them "right in line." Finally, Curtis Butler wraps up this truly delightful specialty album with another song he wrote with his Jamaican co-writer, Godfrey Lewis. Using an old island expression, this song cleverly carries a powerful message - "Don't get to big for yourself, because when things go downhill, you can be humbled." Listen to the way this message comes through as Curtis sings "Trouble Tek You Pickni Shut Fit You." It's the "lesson of life." We have no doubt that you are in for a real musical cruise with this marvelously put together album - "Touch Of Island Soul."
