简介
A first release sets the stage for what any artist wants to say. But it often is also a harbinger of what's coming in the future. For rapper/instrumentalist Mouchee Deeki, he's presenting a statement of stylistic and personal independence. This is one performer unconcerned with labels and unwilling to accept notions about what a rapper should address, how they should perform, or what they should say. "Bidniss" is a presentation that will shatter conventional ideas regarding creative limitations or restrictions. The eight cuts begin with "First Tenth," a measure of bravado and proficiency. Next comes "Wild", a fascinating tune that could be viewed as prophecy, warning, a bold approach, or a signal of the energy and intensity to follow. "Lean The Seat Back" might be viewed as the disc's primary single. There are two versions, the first of which is smoother and flashier verbally, while the radio version offers a more polised beat and overtures not included in its predecessor. "Shame" is a strong message track, an indictment of undesirable, sadly still all too prevalent, things that recur in Black American communities. "Come Here" is more upbeat and party-oriented, as well as laced with provocative romantic imagery. "Nightmares" takes an imaginative look into the world of dreams and visions, propelled by an intriguing musical backdrop. "Git Some" concludes the proceedings in combative, edgy, but also compelling fashion, providing a sturdy conclusion to an enticing and worthy debut project. © Copyright 2007 LougaMusic
