divider is the side project of berlin based electro/italo producer keen k . he started making music in the 1980ies in collaboration with kinky roland (london). their first 12inch release 'bang the quake' was in 1989 on jamboo-records / emi. in the 90ies keen k was working on different projects with artists like p. münch (the rorschach garden), redagain p. (source records) and different female singers like dorian e (lexy & k paul) or elke brauweiler. in 2007 keen k and kinky roland started a new promising collaboration under the name starcluster, which has already got high response on labels like clone or aube records. his range of style moves between classic electro, new wave, italo-disco and electro-clash. since 1996 he released under the following names: starcluster, divider, keen k & dorian e, redagain p + keen k and other projects on labels like clone records, aube records, over-exposure, 800trak, rams horn records, final frontier, müller records, starschnitt-rec., beautycase-records and others. keen k is one of the most important artists on das drehmoment records. his debut ep 'trashpop for lovers' is a great mixture of stompin retro electro-disco journeys into phat sound-quality and 80's melodies; very influenced by early italo, robodisco, wave-pop and hi-nrg 'lazerboy' was licensed to müller records with an extended beroshima remix on the flipside by its originator himself. no wonder that 'lazerboy' hit the japanese dance charts! beyondjazz.net: 'lazerboy' is already an established hi-nrg stomper in japan techno.de: eine wahrlich erfrischende ausnahme! disco travolta schlug ein wie eine bombe definitive sommerplatte - volle punktzahl! toefte-mucke.de: für alle psb - bobby o" - italo disco liebhaber die wirkliche musikalische neuentdeckung! der retro 80`s club hit und unsere neue nr. 1
