Baz Sanders, AKA Type 1 is seriously hot property at the moment! A recently crowned favourite of none other than Ritchy Hawtin who has been heavily supporting Type 1 tracks over the past few Months! With numerous remixes lined up and a release on Sander Kleinenberg's Little Mountain imprint, Type 1 now launches his own label and Malfunktion Records is born! Type 1 - Poppers: The original track is an underground slice of tech business with slick production, a solid groove and that quirky synth line that will drill itself inside your head an cause maximum devastation on the dance floor! Baz certainly knows his way around the studio too so expect this to sound incredible on a big system! Matt Smallwood is up next and takes the bull by the horns with a trademark chunky and funky tech house re-rub! Tribal loops, funky bass and loads of energy is the order of the day and he certainly delivers that! Matt is flying high on the production front at the moment with upcoming remixes on Baroque, Whartone, Mad Hatter and Bosphorus Underground, as well as having Carl Cox using his 'Koko' track on 2 compilations already this year! Alan Prosser is on hand to then take things down a notch and he delivers a stunning remake that turns the track totally on it's head! Steering away from the main hook, this is all about groove and depth giving this a much more serious sound and one that is perfect for those big rooms! Finally we have Joseph Disco who is no novice when it comes to making music! He's appeared on heavyweights labels such as Great Stuff, Craft and Platform B and has collaberated with the legend that is Lutzenkirchen! This influence is more than evident in his remix and he takes things back underground with a deep minimal laced creation! All in all there is something for everyone on this first Malfunktion release. Be it the underground and techy original from Type 1, Smallwood's chunky and funky tech rumbler, Alan Prossers deep and groovy remix or Joseph Disco's deep minimal workout, there is guaranteed to be one version here that will rock your dance floor!
