This album was written, produced, and recorded during the time Stephen spent studying for his Masters in Contemporary Performance at Berklee College of Music's new campus in Valencia, Spain. The writing of this album was heavily influenced by the sounds and styles of his peers during his time in Valencia. Stephen McHale's music is a combination of influences, creating a sound that incorporates the melodic simplicity and listenability of popular music with the improvisational elements of jazz. Think Radiohead meets Kurt Rosenwinkel, with a healthy undercurrent of Pink Floyd and you'll be close to hearing what's in store for you as a listener.
