Michiel van den Bos aka. Mike Boss began his musical career back in the 90s in the games industry, producing soundtracks for Unreal, Unreal Tournament and Deus Ex, among many others. Michiel still composes game soundtracks to this day but his fondness for electronic dance music has always played a role in shaping his musical trajectory. Despite many people urging him to start releasing dance music in the early 2000s, he kept composing game music while trying to figure out what kind of dance music hed like to make, as his tastes varied greatly from liquid drum n bass to techno, in addition to many other musical genres. Melody, deep atmosphere and a consistent groove with a dash of old-school sensibilities are the key elements to Mike Boss music, making his tracks easy to listen to both on and off the dancefloor.
