简介
Bob Laxson took his first guitar lesson when he was twelve years old and has been writing music for fifteen years. He likes writing Contemporary Country and Christian music. He has written a number songs for both female and male vocalists. Some of his wild and crazy songs could be compared to Toby Keith. Some of his good ole’ back home songs could be compared to Alan Jackson. Bob has been influenced in his writing by Alan Jackson, Toby Keith, Garth Brooks, Brooks & Dunn, Billy Currington and Easton Corbin. Suzanna Brown takes her music cues from Patsy Cline, Dolly Parton, Reba McEntire, Faith Hill as well as Michael Jackson, The Eagles, Paula Abdul, Willie Nelson and Elvis Presley. She has written country, pop, Christian and comedy songs. In addition to songwriting, Suzanna writes and performs her own stand-up comedy. Bob & Suzanna wrote the song, “Burgers, Beer & Babes” drawing from college experiences. They add a little Texas A&M University nostalgia into this song. Bob’s vacations every summer to the Frio River influenced the song “Sinking In Love.” Give the song a listen and you will want to vacation there too! Nashville’s Sandi Kight, does a great job singing this female attitude song, “I’ve Gone Fishing Too!” Guys, watch out! Girls have some tricks up their sleeves too! Suzanna says the song “Live Wire” was Bob’s idea. She believes Bob was changing a light switch on the wall at his house one day, when either a light suddenly came on or he got shocked! Reminiscing over our soldiers fighting overseas and drawing from his own near death experiences in his life, Bob was inspired to write the song “Breathe.” Nashville’s Jared Eaves sings this song, and his delivery will touch you like no other. Bob’s son-in-law is from Earth, Texas. Earth is a farming town with a population of 1,000 people. Thinking of his city girl daughter living in the country, led Bob to write the song “She’s Down to Earth” with co-writer Randy Madrigal. Bob forgot his wife’s birthday one time! He had to do some real fast thinking and innovation which resulted into the song “The Present.” Some of Bob’s songs are co-written with Suzanna Brown. Her actions inspired Bob to write the song, “I’ve Got My Hands Full”. Suzanna actually did pick up a stray dog by the side of the road. And, she still has that dog! The TV Show, “Ugly Betty”, gave Bob the idea to write, “Now You’re Hot!” One night, Bob was watching an awards show on television. America Ferrera, who plays “Ugly Betty”, was at the awards show. She was dressed real nice and looked fantastic and Bob said, “Hey! Now You’re Hot!” Bob’s writing partner, Suzanna, came up with the idea to write “Don’t Write Me Off Tomorrow.” Bob and Suzanna sat down on a bench by the San Marcos River during lunch one day, and wrote that song in about thirty minutes. Bob is still puzzled what inspired Suzanna to come up with that idea! A family reunion in Galveston, Texas inspired the song “So Much More.” An elderly relative grew up on Port Aransas Island, back in the 1930’s. She made a comment, “We did not realize that we were poor, because no one else on the island had any more than we did.” Bob’s daughter was married out in the hill country at Con Can, Texas. He wanted to do something special. They had been practicing dancing the Texas Waltz together. Little did she know, but Bob wrote “Father, Daughter Dance”, and surprised her with the song when they danced the father, daughter dance at the wedding.
