Cutting his teeth on garage bands, piano strings and chamber orchestras, Oliver Richard now fuses bipolar electric guitar with muscular vocals, fat bass loops and tripped out percussion to create a one man wall of noise. 2013 saw Richard complete The First Take Cover Sessions, a collection of five covers taken from the disparate stables of Lou Reed, The Cramps, Tom Waits, Grinderman and The Dead Weather. Each song was performed once in a stripped down arrangement, with the video then uploaded to Youtube. This prove strong enough to secure a debut 7" single with the US independent label Grimtale Records. Triggerfish was released November 2013. Richard went on to contribute two tracks to the label's first 2014 sampler album. "...reminds me of 18 year old sex, a short quick grind...then you say, what just happened there... let's do it again..." Grimtale Records on A-side 'Triggerfish' "...vacillating between wicked guitar riffs and haunting melodies backed by almost poetic lyrics - I was captivated from first listen" Wax-o-holics Blog Spot, USA "...like a deep mental massage followed by a vinyl orgasm" A fan on 'Far from the Day' "...so much energy, the right amount of swagger and a hell of a lot of noise for one bloke and one guitar..."
