Acclaimed Colorado singer-songwriter Chauncy Crandall is proud to announce the release of his new album, "Breakdown," available on October 24th from Purple House records. Building upon the popular and critical success of his previous, self-released album, "Every Song Is About You," Chauncy's new record features an impressively eclectic melding of musical styles, spanning from country-tinged rock, bluegrass, folk, and even hints of reggae. In a sea of contemporary pop-country artists who have completely abandoned its folk roots and peddle the shallowest of sentiments, Chauncy's music is grounded in heartfelt poetry and sharp storytelling, maintaining a sense of Americana tradition with an eagerness to experiment. Highlights of “Breakdown” include the title track and lead single, an expansive country-rocker which acts as a fine summation of Chauncy’s sound, "Laura's Song," a gentle acoustic tribute to his late sister, "Mansions to Heaven," a bluegrass-informed rumination on the darker side of human nature, and the taut, muscular rock of "Devil's Wine."
