简介
Volume 8 of a collection of indie rock tunes by various artists from the 1960s to the 2010s that represent 50 years of rock & roll history and its evolving change. Some tunes were nationally charted hits while others were regional favorites. 1) “Caught In Between” by Roger Hurricane Wilson is a tune about the conundrum that exists in many relationships - disagreements that cause frustration if you stay or loneliness to break up. 2) “Disappear” by Delanna Brody & The Feel is about the exasperation and disgust one has with a loved one that is a pathological liar - you wish they would simply disappear from your life. 3) “I’ve Been A Joker, I’ve Been A Clown” performed by Schmaltz is a tune about the class clown who wants to be taken seriously by someone who captured his heart but thinks he’s just a player. 4) “Dancing To A Different Beat” by the legendary 1960s group, Little Phil & The Night Shadows is a unique mixture of Rock and old time Gospel rhythm about having different interests and beliefs. 5) “Hot 2 Trot” performed by Danny Rae Deese is a funky rocker about a guy that’s kind of a wallflower that spots a great disco dancer he likes and wishes he could be her dance partner. 6) “Gone, Gone, Gone” by Barrelhouse Bob Page is an upbeat take on depressing situation when a relationship is over and someone leaves the other one for greener pastures. 7) “Another Day” by Starfoxx features some excellent harmony without the phony auto-tuner used by so many artists recording today. About the lying boyfriend that realizes he screwed up leaving. 8) “High Tech Music” by Rockin’ Rick Ware is about hating the beats & loops program specialists causing the denigration of the live artist in the age of the music in Hip Hop, EDM and modern Pop. 9) “Wait A Little While” by Bill Sheffield & Liane Webb is a positive message for those who feel they have failed in love or career that need to hold on until the pendulum swings back to them. 10) “ Stick Out Your Can” also called “The Garbage Man”, was a college party song by the Night Shadows to compete with groups like Doug Clark & Hot Nuts or The 13 Screaming Ni**ers that dominated the East Coast Beach Music & College scene in the early 1960s. It succeded for them.
