Izzy Miller, after a two year long absence from the music business, returned in 2016 with the single "Back to Getting Over You". The record would prove fruitful, as the single garnered much attention and also placed him in the studio with Shane Davis and Kris Poorman (both of the Huntsville, AL-based rock group the Black Market Salesmen). In 2017, signing a new deal with The Standard to release a new album, Izzy recruited the rest of the band (Klayton Hodges and Chris Salib) to begin work. The first single from this forthcoming record, "Mr. TV Man", describes the current state of the media and is a good look into what the band has been working on together.
