"Twelve years is a long time for any genre and challenging to be inventive and creative within that genre, but Warren does more than his share of keeping the genre going. Warren gives us a... mature and spot on take on ambient electronica... an atmospheric aural journey." - Properly Chilled "Recorded over the course of the last twelve years, Pete Warren debut is a nice ambient album... Soft and warm glowing textures abound in this electronica debut from UK upstart Pete Warren." - Smother "...the unmistakable presence of a mind thinking outside the square." - Cyclic Defrost "Pete Warren's debut collection is definitely decent enough to reward one's attention." - Textura "A whole album of Ambient Electronica but one that's different and interesting... musical and easy to love." - Future Music magazine, issue 190 August 2007, page 111, UK edition "A nostalgic warmth pervades Pete Warren's debut album 'Ambient Electronica 94-06'. Warren manages to plot the genre succinctly, yet gives it a fresh perspective which ignites the spirit of yesteryears. The textural aural landscapes of the album reflect Warren's musical experimentation and progression; documenting time, environment and emotion - from melancholic melodies, to revelatory ethereal ambience to gritty glitchy beats that induce that sacred zone." - Paul Finn, BBC Radio & Music "This album is excellent... Rich and delicate sounds." - 5 star customer review on iTunes UK More about Pete Warren: Pete Warren makes music in a variety of styles. Inspired by the BBC Radiophonic Workshop at an early age, he started out experimenting with effects units, tape recorders, 8-bit computer noises, intercoms, an electric guitar and a basic synthesizer, producing noisy lo-fi experimental industrial music. An offshoot of this gritty sound evolved into the warm, atmospheric and melodic electronica of this debut release. Pete Warren makes his living as a graphic designer, interactive designer and sound designer. He was involved in a BAFTA award-winning interactive project and has produced music and sound effects for the BBC.
