Straight Lines & Circles is Djang San's 54th album. The idea behind the album was to compose by improvising compositions on top of existing drum tracks. Most tracks were composed by Djang San using the drum tracks composed by drummer Hugo Radyn with some guide lines Djang San gave him during the drum tracks recording sessions. Once again, the other main instruments on the tracks are the electric pipa and the electric zhongruan created by Djang San. Cover designed by Clancy "oopow" Lethbridge, who also played some bass lines for the album.
