Second album from the Glasgow duo and this - don't get me wrong - is more of the same. 19 tracks of stream of consciousness thrown down on an 8-track and thrust roughly on to cd - indeed, there's more than 19 here, as tracks merge into each other and generally collapse into chaos. It's a curious amalgam of spindly guitar, gloomy bass and fractured vocals which calls on myriad influences - on 'Erased' it's somewhere between Ballboy and Pavement, 'Memory' snaps at the senses like an acerbic Spare Snare, 'Chestnut' could be Sonic Youth unplugged; while Smog comes to mind more than once in what is an intriguing listen.
