Over the past 2 years Jerry Dimmer worked on the recordings of Smile up. The starting point was to make the ultimate party album for people all over the world, so there were many collaborations with artists and musicians from all over the world, from Japan and China until Russia and Africa, South America and Europe. Some of the recordings were done at Jerry Dimmer' s home studio based in Brussels, Belgium, but most of the exchanges were done via internet and the final result was finally mixed and mastered in Belgium. The idea of the project was to melt together as many styles and influences as possible into a warm and inviting party groove to appeal many different cultures and people. The first part of the album is rather dancable, then towards the end the songs are gradually slowing down in a kind of chill out mood. So listen and enjoy, wherever you are, all around the world !
