Then they teamed up with Bill Norvas and The Upstarts, Jerry Wilson and Gary Sneed, playing "The Blue Room" at the Roosevelt Hotel in New Orleans. The Upstarts stayed together and went back to LA where they rewrote their Act and played The Thunderbird Hotel/Casino in Las Vegas. When they returned to Hollywood, Mel Torme heard them sing at The Judy Garland TV Show and fell in Love with their fabulous sound and took over management for The Guys and Dolls and signed them with Si Zentner and His Orchestra (Of The "Up The Lazy River" fame) for the USA and Canadian Tour. Si changed their name to "The 2+2". After that, Sheri and Syd moved to NYC, where they performed together and on their own through the years. Sheri re-opened the famous Latin Quarter with a 1020's review, singing and hosting the room. She then moved her show out to California, teaming up with Jerry Brooks, who sang with "The Ink Spots" and "Louis Thomas and The pieces Of Eight". CNN covered their 2 day opening. Syd and her daughter Quinn Cassavale, singer and Actress, sang together, some of the 2+2's great charts. Then they moved their show to The Smoke House, across from Warner Brothers Studios. At one point, Sheri decided to move back to NYC, when friends introduced her to another singer over they phone Sheri was in LA and he was in Las Vegas. Yes, It was Johnny Stark. They spoke every day two or three time a day. Sheri thought, I am not going all the way to NYC without meeting this fabulous guy. So on her long drive back to NY, She swang through Las Vegas and they met face to face. Something wonderful happened. That was the beginning of "Sheri & Johnny". Sheri suggested that Johnny come join her in NY and they would team up to be one of the best Singing Duo's ever. Johnny Stark started his singing career at 12 years old, with Opera traning, moving on to the Bid Band era and then when he moved to Hollywood from New Jersey, he signed with Crystalette Records. He sang his Hit Record, "Rockin' Billy" and "Drivin' Me Out Of My Mind" on Dick Clark's American Bandstand. Then he went on tour with Connie Francis, Frankie Avalon and Eddie Cockran. hen Jhnny went on to perform from Hollywood to NYC at all the top Clubs. Then he performed in Tahoe, Reno, and Las Vegas where he settled and performed for many years. Johnny was inducted to "The Rock-A-Billy Hall Of Fame" in 1997. Then in1998 he got a call from friends, that introduced him to Sheri and that was just the beginning of one of the best partnership for both "Sheri & Johnny".
