Belfast Food专辑介绍：by Dave SlegerThe debut recording from this Croatian Celtic-rock band was recorded live in Rijeka in 1997. Belfast Food combines traditional Irish music with punk and rock stylings much like the Pogues did a decade earlier. This band, however, rocks slightly harder than its mentors did, as electric guitar figures into the equation more prominently. The band plays three Shane MacGowan songs ("If I Should Fall From Grace With God," "A Rainy Night in Soho," and "Streams of Whiskey") as well as other tracks covered by either MacGowan or the Pogues (like Ewan MacColl's "Dirty Old Town," sung here in Croatian). Belfast Food also pays homage to the Australian bagpipe-rock band Brother with two covers, "Hi'den Bro" and "Da Si Tu." Instrumentally, the band sounds incredibly true to the Irish folk-rock sound; it's only the noticeable Croatian accents that divulge the musicians' true identities. The most interesting and explosive track on this album is the group's take on Bob Dylan's "Like a Rolling Stone," which incorporates traditional Irish melodies and instruments (like whistles and fiddle) with a searing electric guitar line.
