Since childhood, Julian has been playing music, be it bass or guitar with his legendary father jazz guitar pioneer Larry Coryell, touring on a variety of instruments with everyone from Carole King to Aimee Mann, producing and orchestrating tracks for other up and coming artists like the critically acclaimed Webb Brothers, or writing, producing and playing his own music. No longer confined by the rules and regulations of a major record label, Julian and co-producer/engineer Joe Zook (who has worked with everyone from the Counting Crows to Tricky) have spent the last year working on songs that make up his latest cd, "Rock Star". Featuring Julian on Virtually every instrument and recorded completely in his home studio, this latest body of work showcases his extraordinary talent and something that has been missing from music at large - depth of content surrounded by irresistible sounds.
