The Day Dreamers, a Montreal-native, female-fronted indie band, mixes pop, folk and alternative sounds with classical violin, modern drumming and other unique musical accompaniment. Formed in 2013 by friends Ali Kouri and Tiana Desiree Grandilli after performing together in a high school talent show, the pair built upon their musical successes and were soon joined by drummer Cedric de Saint-Rome. In 2014 the band won the People's Choice Award at the Beaconsfield Battle of the Bands and Best Interpretation at the Hudson Music Festival. That year also saw the release of the band's first single "The River" and in 2015 the group released a music video for their second single, "Goodbye." Later in 2015, the band added two new members, Max Page-Slowik and Stephanie Maier, bringing their number to five. With Kouri and Grandilli writing haunting, eerily beautiful lyrics, the band creates original songs about love, longing, adventure and heartbreak. Their music has been featured on 94.7 FM and in the Montreal Gazette, as well as a recent appearance on Global TV. The Day Dreamers recently completed their debut album titled "All Through The Night" with ten original songs on it. It will be released on April 22, 2016 and will be available on iTunes.
