Synthika is an electronic music collaboration project launched in 2007 by two Finnish brothers and producers Tempo Giusto and Ima'gin. Synthika's production ranges from slower minimal to deep driving tech trance. Using the finest elements from several different genres, they call their style club progressive - always fresh and elaborate, their sound is distinct and melodies captivating while all of the production is essentially highly danceable club material. Review on MusiCritics Review on 1Mix Radio * 4/5 on Trance.nu * -- 1. Powder Road (Original Mix) The name track of the EP is a high energy trance tune, driven by a deep bassline and whipping percs. The main elements are the cut female vocal of the first part which sings a descending upbeat theme, and the power lead of the second part. The breakdown is something of a consolation, an embracing, heavenly hymn which finally lets the vocal elevate by the variation in the bass key. The track transcends into the second part through a small bridge sequence, a savvy miniature dance within the track, which introduces the main lead theme in a playful manner before the second part blasts off with new energy. 2. Lilacs (Original Mix) Although similarly energetic as its pair on this release, Lilacs is more moody and melancholic. The track is based on a single lead theme which plays a simple broken chord motif until the song grinds to a halt in the breakdown. Accompanying melodies sing an adieu for the theme, which then goes through a change and returns in a dramatic variation. A bittersweet piano melody adds a pearly timbre in the break and vanishes in the mist, only to make a comeback at the climax of the second part.
