Matt Conner has been performing, composing, teaching and music directing in the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area for the last twelve years. Mr. Conner received his Bachelor of Fine Arts in Music Theatre from Shenandoah University and has Music Directed numerous shows including BRIGADOON, GREASE, CRAZY FOR YOU, SHENANDOAH, THEY’RE PLAYING OUR SONG and his original score of A CHRISTMAS CAROL. COMPOSITONS: NEVERMORE (Signature Theatre 2006) with book by Grace Barnes and orchestrations by Jonathan Tunick, A CAROL CHRISTMAS (GMCW 2007), CROSSING (Signature Theatre Workshop 2007, a workshop premier at Shenandoah University and a concert version at Signature Theatre in 2012, MARTIN THE KING OF PIZZA (Creative Cauldron, Inc. 2009), PARTIAL ECLIPSE: A ROCK SONG CYCLE (Signature Theatre 2009) and he recently was the recipient of the 2008-2009 AMERICAN MUSICAL VOICES PROJECT: THE NEXT GENERATION and showcased THE HOLLOW, based on the Washington Irving tale, The Legend of Sleepy Hollow, with book writer Hunter Foster as a part of Signature Theatre’s 21/24 Workshop July 2009 and was produced in 2011. THENIGHTOFTHELIVINGDEAD will premiere with Musically Human Theatre Company in New York City in May 2012. He launched Nevermore Records in 2012 (www.nevermorercords.com).
