Searching for the American Dream tells stories of Americans yearning to find peace and happiness, which are all too fleeting for those in prison or who are homeless. The EP is in true War Poets' style with great guitar riffs and deeply moving lyrics that only they can convey. All the songs were written by War Poets songwriter Rex Haberman and were recorded and produced by Grammy winners Joe Baldridge and Kevin Bowe.
