FEATURING WINNERS!! 2006 Shalshelet International Music Festival Winners on this album include Luley (Psalm 27) and Zeh Hayom (Psalm 118). We have grown together and woven our lives as tightly as these harmonies, holding each other up through major sevenths and minor seconds, listening deeply to the patterns and possibilities. What began as a simple concept, bantered around for several years, became a landscape of sound. With so many dear friends facing illness, we wanted to lend our voices to the Jewish healing movement. These chants, cascades and rounds are for those who seek healing and restoration of soul as they recover from illness, trauma or just daily life. This music is made to be shared. Take it to your loved ones, your healing circles, synagogues, hospital rooms, and meditation spaces. Let its vibrations retune your body; surround yourself with soaring harmonies and see if your spirits lift as well. We thank our partners, Myriam, Simcha and Phil, and our children, whose loving support makes this work possible. We also couldn't have done this without The Da Man (Wizard Daoud Shaw), who tolerates three females invading his lair, bombarding him with contradictory requests and messing up his kitchen. And we want to appreciate you, our fellow travelers, who embrace this music and incorporate it into your lives—what an honor and privilege. Most of all, we are grateful to The Source of Healing, Blessings and Inspiration. With abundant thanks, Margot, Rayzel, and Juliet Check out our other CDs, too!
