Born in Pineville, Louisiana October 31st, Honey Banks has lived in Los Angeles, and Hollywood California, Detroit, Michigan but grew up in Dallas, Texas. Living in (Pleasant Grove) the 118 block or the original East Dallas and usually watching from the sidelines while female rappers used what she wrote to battle at local Dallas clubs like DMX and Blue. Honey has been writing rhymes since she was 12 but in 2007 she finally decided to come to the table with her own skills. Only a year later she was forced to stop her craft again when an accident left her with memory loss. In 2010 she bounced back into the scene with a vengeance. Honey Banks also goes by Honey B. and with the tag "H. Banks No Hillary" but was originally known by 'Ms. Chris'. Her named was changed along with life lessons and experience which is noticeably her lyrics and delivery. One of the original members of the Dallas based rap group “5 Star Entertainment”, her first feature was collaboration with Dallas rapper Kevin A. on "I like that". Collaborations with artist from Texas, Nebraska, Louisiana, Illinois, and Paris France, to name a few. She has created a buzz with the underground rap community. Honey Banks was also the only female rapper from Texas was featured in round 4 of "Making The Next Hit" Season 3 with CTE's DJ Fahrenheit and Slick Pulla. With her mix tape track “Nancy Care Again, Honey was also recognized by Vibe Magazine in a debate on if she would be a better fit with artist on Kanye West’s G.O.O.D. Music label or Rick Ross’s Maybach Music. Honey Banks has become the most requested femcees in Dallas. Songs like "Intro 2 Sex" and "AM SEX" show that she can also bring out her sex appeal while still setting a example for female artist lyrically. Her singles "Catch Up" and “Texas Girls” has earned her street credibility amongst the underground rap scene. With 2 Mix-tapes under her belt and The highly anticipated EP release and including the single “Money” Featuring Raheem Devaugh and “Indian” produced by “It’s A BIG E Beat” is keeping her fans ready for more. Honey B. is the "New Queen Of The South".
