简介
Michigan native Laith Al-Saadi, long considered a brilliant blues guitarist and singer, gathered a band of legends for his latest effort 'REAL.' - recorded at the historic Ocean Way Studios in Hollywood, California. Joining him was a dream band of all-stars including Jim Keltner (Drums - John Lennon, George Harrison, Traveling Wilburys, Eric Clapton, etc...), Lee Sklar (Bass - James Taylor, Phil Collins, Jackson Browne, etc...), Larry Goldings (Organ - John Scofield, Maceo Parker, James Taylor, etc...), Jimmy Vivino (Rhythm Guitar, Background Vocals - Bandleader for CONAN, Fab Faux, Levon Helm, etc...), Tom Scott (Sax - Steely Dan, Joni Mitchell...), Lee Thornburg (Trumpet - Tower Of Power, Chicago...), Nick Lane (Trombone) and Brandon Fields (Baritone Sax). Produced by Jeffrey Weber, the project was recorded live to two tracks, with no mixing, editing, overdubbing, auto-tuning, limiting and compression. “ Laith is the real deal,” explained Weber. “He has jaw dropping technique and an evocative vocal character that captures the unbridled passion of his lyrics. He made a believer out of every one of us.” The unforgiving nature of two-track recording is a challenge for most artists, but not for Al-Saadi. “ This project is meant to celebrate the feel, joy and spontaneity of music in the moment and of the moment – which is so often lost in the sea of overproduced, auto-tuned, pieced together tracks. The new album features all original material written by Al-Saadi except for one track - 'Ophelia', which was recorded as a tribute to one of Al-Saadi's musical heroes who passed away in 2012... Levon Helm. A collection of songs inspired by the great musical traditions of New Orleans, Chicago Blues and Southern Rock... 'REAL.' is sure to delight Audiophiles, Blues & Roots music lovers and Telecaster/Guitar aficionados alike! Do yourself a favor and pick up a copy today!!! The REAL DEAL! "... Laith proves this every time he plugs his Tele into a Fender Amp and plays directly from his heart to your ears. Just stunning and simply beautiful at the same time. Something in the Michigan water I suspect." - Jimmy Vivino (Guitarist/ Musical Director for the TBS late night show 'CONAN', Former member of The Levon Helm Band) ENJOY!!!
