Gavin Hayes started his musical journey at a very young age, being naturally drawn to the guitar. Over many years, he developed his distinct style of music, influenced by such artists as Dire Straights, the Police, Chris Rhea, and Joe Satriani, to name a few. He spent a couple of his teenage years playing in a band. However, life caught up with him, and he decided to pursue his other passion, Electrical Engineering. But all through his Engineering career, he never neglected his love of music, using the time to enhance his song writing skills. In his own words: "I knew that at some point I wanted to at least give myself the chance to start a music career". The hard work and determination has paid off, resulting in the simultaneous release of not one, but two albums, "Not Perfect, but Beautiful", and "Spirit Song" in the spring of 2011. To quote Gavin: "It took me a long time to finally express myself through music, but I'm glad I'm doing it now. It's what I've always wanted to do." Always interested in spiritual matters, his music and lyrics reflect this affinity to all things mystical. The music deals mainly with the spiritual aspects of the human condition, attempting to put into words many of the emotions that we feel and experience as Human Beings.
