Born on January 20, 1998 in Pretoria, South Africa, Alice Orion was introduced to music and the arts at an early age, appearing in the hit musical Annie. She developed a passion for music and by the age of 10, was singing at a variety of local events. She began writing her own songs and learning to play the piano, guitar and mandolin. Growing up, Orion won several talent competitions both in South Africa and abroad. At 19, Orion is an accomplished singer/songwriter who has worked with top South African Artists, Producers and DJ's. As a universal language, Orion believes that music speaks to people and connects them. She understands that music is a way of reaching out and touching peoples lives and that in music lives memories, each  song connecting and relating to a person in one way or another. Orion believes that music can be a safety net and an escape for many - herself included and she would love to be a part of the process that connects people. Music is her comfort, passion and life long love. Orion acknowledges that a little part of her lives in each of her songs and she enjoys utilizing her emotions in a healing and positive way in order to make something beautiful from pain or happiness, finding closure and release. Through singing to a wider audience, it is Orion's dream to become a voice for those without one. Helping people, the environment and causes that are important to her. Orion's hopes are to make a difference in the music industry, to learn and grow as an artist and hopefully live out her dream.... to sing and have the world hear her.
