On April 03, 1982 Stephen Wilson aka “Artisin” was born in Columbus, Georgia to both parents in the Military. Artisin was exposed to music at a young age, his father was a jazz musician and his mother is a singer/producer. When his parents split up, he and his brother moved with his mother to Boston then to a small city in Massachusetts called Haverhill. At the age of 13 he began freestyling and playing the piano then at 16 began creating rap beats and professionally recording his lyrics in a studio. Artisin inherited his talent for making his own style of music which is street with conscious lyricism with a positive but real life inspired message. He spends a lot of time creating a unique style of his own beats. His production credits range from artists like Termanology, lil fame (MOP) and freeway. In 2004 Artisin and a group of friends from neighboring communities surrounding Haverhill formed a group called ST Da Squad that slowly grew into the current members. The group includes artists such as TERMANOLOGY, EA$Y MONEY, STALION, SUPERSTAH SNUK, CLIP, HECTIC, DJ DEADEYE and of course ARTISIN himself. Artisin was also in a separate another group with a fellow ST. member SUPERSTAH SNUK called, TWISTED MILITANZ which they later changed the name to A-N-S(ARTISIN -N -SNUK). At 16 years old in 1998 Artisin performed in his first show opening up for METHOD MAN at the Northeastern Supaflow Fest in the tsongas Arena. He has also performed Boston, New York, New Hampshire, and Florida clubs

His inspiration comes from many off the greats like Biggie, Nas, Jay-Z , to Micheal Jackson , Pink Floyd, and Dexter Wansel
