Aleks Sever’ newest release, “EXTRAVAGANT” is an electrifying album that combines Aleks' brilliance as a composer with the raw energy of Hip Hop and the early exciting days of Electric Jazz. “EXTRAVAGANT" is an inspiring, well crafted collection of 10 original songs that feature Aleks’ Funk/Rock driven, Ultra-high energy approach to the guitar. Her unique and aggressive style highlights a wide range of influences, from Miles Davis to Tupac and 50 Cent. That compelling, aggressive style is the thread that runs through the whole album and the songs are a vehicle for her brilliant and adventurous solos. “EXTRAVAGANT” features incredible musicians, including John Blackwell on drums (Prince/D’Angelo), Josh Dunham on bass (Prince), Bobby Sparks (St. Vincent, Snarky Puppy) on keyboards, the legendary Randy Brecker (Brecker Brothers) on trumpet, Keith Anderson (Kanye West, Erykah Badu) on Saxophone and Jetro Da Silva (Jamie Foxx/Stevie Wonder) on organ. The album was recorded at Beat 5 Studios in Los Angeles and Clear Track Recording Studios in Florida, and mixed by Brian Reeves at the Jungle Room in Glendale, California. “Extravagant” is a bold and passionate musical statement that celebrates Aleks’ musicianship and unique style.
