Currently, Connie is seen on TV in 73 million homes across America as a host on ShopNBC. Connie Kunkle made her Carnegie Hall debut in 2005. Her start in show business was at Walt Disney World as a Kid of the Kingdom. She was wooed to New York by Radio City Music Hall to star in Encore (and later Gotta Getaway plus 5 Christmas Spectaculars). She made her Broadway debut in Singin’ In the Rain, and then went on to play various roles in Les Miserables, including Fantine. Off-Broadway, she starred as Rose in the awarding winning Song of Singapore. She made her Brooklyn Academy of Music debut in BAM Salutes Sondheim. Connie considers England her home away from home and has performed at some of the greatest concert halls in the country. She has guest starred in 4 times in the Northern Concert of Remembrance with the Band of the Her Majesty’s Royal Marines, Scotland. With two appearances at the Royal Albert Hall in Night of 1000 Stars, she has also performed in The Music of Andrew Lloyd Webber at the legendary London Palladium, Sondheim Tonight at the Barbican Centre, Night of Stars at the Demontfort Hall, and the BBC Music Festival Live at the Leeds Town Hall. She has been honored by the MP of County Durham as a special guest at Parliament. Ms. Kunkle starred as the Narrator opposite Donny Osmond in Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat and Lord Andrew Lloyd Webber personally selected her for the original cast of The Music of Andrew Lloyd Webber, In Concert. Other tours include A Grand Night for Singing, and she played Sally opposite Tim Curry in Me and My Girl. Favorite star turns: Annie Get Your Gun, My One and Only, Dames at Sea, They’re Playing Our Song and Sugar Babies. She created the role of Ingrid/Woman in Green in the historic mounting of Ibsen’s’ Peer Gynt with the Sinfonia de Camera under the baton of Ian Hobson and directed by Hugh Wooldridge. Voted one of the Best Local Entertainers by readers of Orlando Magazine, her longstanding relationship with the Orlando Philharmonic includes appearances at The Carr, the Spring Concert Series and holiday specials at Sea World. Her televised Pops Concerts garnered her a Telly Award. Equally comfortable in front of top orchestras and Television cameras, she also hosted many local television shows in Orlando including shows on Fox and ABC. Other national television hosting credits she include America’s Health Network, Investors TV News Magazine QVC, and national drives for PBS. She has film credits that include starring in The Insomniac Sleeps(Sundance). Raised in Indiana, Pennsylvania with roots in Alabama, Connie is a graduate of Ohio University, magna cum laude.
