I first met Ross Lewis in the days when Nashville was cold and lonely. When all I had to sleep on was an old mattress in a curtainless room and hit songs for me were still a few years away. Well, Ross became a friend, and he even helped get me some work pickin' in one of Nashville's many honky-tonks. He had a band then, and he was singin' great and entertaining big crowds every night. Well all these years later, and after about 600 recorded songs that I've been lucky enough to write or co-write, I get to return Ross Lewis a favor.

But you know what...that's not why I produced this album at all. I did it because Ross is still singin' great and he deserves to be heard.

It's a pleasure Ross, and it's great to still be your friend after 15 years. DENNIS MORGAN
