This is Sir Captain. Put simply, they’re three friends who share a dream and a love for music and are aiming to revive rock in a new light. They began as a jam group playing every week at a cocktail bar in the heart of Denver. While background music paid the bills, the desire to craft an authentic sound pushed them to form something bigger. Individually, they’re influenced by a wide array of artists including Jimi Hendrix, John Mayer, Marcus Miller, Rush, Tool, Stanton Moore Trio, and Benny Greb to name a few. They’ve spent their entire lives surrounded by music and it’s only recently that they’ve come together to tackle the music world as Sir Captain. Their songwriting incorporates elements of pop, rock, blues, and funk built on a tasty combination of guitar, bass and drums. An exciting milestone is coming up in the Summer of 2015. After many hours in a local Denver studio, Sir Captain is excited to announce the release of their debut album “Rise Above” . It has taken multiple band names and faces to get to where they are but, Jaffe, Finny, and Nate couldn’t be happier to have found their calling and sound. Ready to make the most of it and discover new opportunities the band is keeping the focus on writing authentic music and paying attention to the small details. With a natural flair for performing live, Sir Captain is looking forward to sharing their fresh sound with you and getting back to their live roots on stages all over Colorado and anywhere else this journey takes them!
