Dreadfool, the EBM inspired musician from Liège Belgium, returns with an incredible new album bursting at the seams with absolute aggressive music making power. The 10-track album, ‘Atoms For Peace,’ shows the seasoned producer at his most brutal – each track an intense sonic thunderstorm of distorted synthesizers, hard as nails kick drums, and vocals designed to intimidate and capture the raw energy of the producer at his most honest. ‘Atoms For Peace’ is a true testament to the producer’s ability to design modern day industrial dance sound with inspiration and appreciation towards the classic music from Belgium’s legendary EBM scene. ‘00000000’ opens up the album with an odyssey into noise and intensity, with blurred synthesizers and audio samples of anguished humans overwhelming the listener. Following the intensity of the intro, the music tightens its grip with both ‘Nuclear Blast’ and ‘Beyond The Atomic Skies’ displaying a raw energy complete with Dreadfool’s dark and sinister vocal stylings driving the dancefloor. ‘Desarm’ continues in a similar fashion with the BPMs intensifying and the vocals punishing the listener into submission. ‘Burning’ follows with the BPMs at a fever pitch and twisted, brutal melodies as the centerpiece. The 2nd half of ‘Atoms For Peace’ begins with ‘AKR (feat. Deleritas)’ which takes the BPMs down a notch but continues in the theme of intensity, aggression and powerful music production. ‘Death’ is an arpeggiated odyssey which is packed with distorted drums and a dark sample of ‘in between the powerful vocals. ‘Electrique Love’ and ‘Weaponized Drones’ are both machine driven slices of dancefloor magic which take the listener into even darker melodies and production aesthetics. Intense, angry vocals continue to dominate the production with themes of death, war and violence dominating.
