Someone shouted out the Words "West Coast Jay-Z" and now the whole west coast is looking, but if you ask the Southern California native Tony Tig, he wouldn't take that type of recognition. "It's always a great feeling when someone compares you to talented artist like Jay-Z, but the goals I want to acomplish and acheive are beyond just trying to be a great rapper I'm trying to save lives with my music." His album "Unforgiven" is already growing a buzz around Cali. as one of the best albums to come out of the West in a long time. When asked why he chose the title 'Unforgiven' he said "I just wanted to make a point with this album,that if im constantly trying to live up to the everyone else's expactations and not my own then my music is meaningless it's all about my growth and maturity as an artist" Tig has taken risks on this album, in which he is singin or singin and rapping,Tig responds "Being Hard and tough is a given coming out of LA, but I wanted to do something positive for people who need something positive to hold on to, which is why I took my time on this album." Aside from being able to sing Tig has also proven to be a master poet and lyricist.This album is One Big Single after another,that touches your soul and forces you to take a long look in the mirror and discover your true identity. There are very few moments in music, Hip-Hop especially where someone has a chance to make history, when asked about it Tig simply smile and says."What's important to me is not making history but helping give people the opportunity to make their own history, that's real talk."
