Best known for his song writing on television shows, Knelman released the album to showcase his 30 year career. He presents his music tastefully enough to suit even the most refined musical palettes. The songs on this disc are just so well written that I even found myself enjoying the styles I don't normally relate to! When asked why he used such a large number of musicians and singers (that form "The Invisible Band",) Knelman replied "I just couldn't envision any one person covering such a wide range of material, and doing justice to it. If the song needed a female country singer, I got the best in that style. If it required a male jazz singer, that's who I got, and used his keyboardist as well." Another fascinating aspect of the variety on this disc is Knelman's ability to compose lyrics from both a male and a female point of view. If you have trouble catching him live, I strongly suggest you pick up one of his discs available across the country. You can't be disappointed."
