简介
by Richie Unterberger Annisette and Thomas Koppel are the only original Savage Rose members left on this mid-'90s outing, on which they seem to be making a move toward the adult contemporary pop market. To say that's an ill-advised strategy is an understatement. It's a long way from the gothic classical-rock of Dodens Triumf to the shopping mall loudspeakers. But some of the material here, sadly, wouldn't sound terribly out of place in the background at K-Mart, although the arrangements are more sophisticated and conscientious, and Annisette's voice is still in top-notch shape. There's a slight R&B/soul feel, Mick Taylor makes a low-profile session appearance on guitar, and there are remakes of "Your Daily Gift" and "Sad Child Ballet" (from Dodens Triumf), as well as a cover of Pete Seeger's "Where Have All the Flowers Gone." But there's little that resembles the challenging progressive rock that characterized most of their career.
