Mellowave is the official debut album of Orlando, Florida artist Rick Haze. It debuted on July 9, 2012 and Charted in the Top 10 of the iTunes Reggae charts within its first week it was released. It consists of 11 original tracks written and produced by RIck Haze, E.N Young and Roots in Peace. The album has managed to catch the eye of artists, fans and critics all across the Cali reggae scene. Its official music video being featured on The Pier, Nug Magazine, Yahuurd Magazine, and much more.

The album was recorded in location all across the United States, and was engineered and mastered at Roots Musician Studios in Imperial Beach, California. Following recording half of the album, Rick Haze went on tour with San Diego Native E.N Young across Florida to promote his upcoming release. Haze also appeared on stage with other acts along the away such as Tribal Seeds, Fortunate Youth and more. This album features artists such as Tribal Seeds, Curtis Young (son of Hip Hop icon Dr. Dre), Gonzo (formerly of Fortunate Youth), Ras Matthew, Beyond I Sight, Roots in Peace, and Billy B who has performed and traveled for years with San Diego band Through the Roots. Mellowave covers a whole new spectrum reggae enthusiasts are sure to love. Blending traditional roots sound with modern hip hop, this is a sure to be classic you don't want to miss.
