TIMBERWOLF has spent the last nine years as a Variety Danceband playing popular songs from the 50's to the present. We are all music lovers first, and seasoned musicians second! We are NOT a 'clone band', nor a 'Tribute band'...{meaning: We don't try to sound like 'anyone else'! We prefer to say we sound like 'us'!} We have developed our own sound, and over the last nine years, have been pleasing dancing and listening audiences, and having alot of fun in the process! We make 'no claims' to being better than anyone else, but whenever we play, it's an 'interactive' party between ourselves and our crowd..be they young or old...be it a paid venue or a charity! Our home port is the Tularosa Basin in southern New Mexico. Our band members are located in the towns of Alamogordo, La Luz, Tularosa, and Timberon. This is our first real attempt at an all-original Cd. The genres reflected here are basically Roots Country Ballads, Southern Rock, Latin Rock, down-home Blues, and a bit of Soft R&B. TIMBERWOLF consists of Al Cordova = Lead Guitar/backing vocals; Euel Ross = Rhythm Guitar/Lead Vocals; Ed Shaw = Lead Vocals/Percussion; Rick Merrick = Drums/Narrative; and Joe Weidner = Bass Guitar/backing vocals.
