简介
Victoria Vox, Lisa Taylor, and LEA appeared at Goose Creek Live as part of a unique “Songwriter Session” in March 2010, in which the three award-winning songwriters performed at Loudoun County's Franklin Park Arts Center in observation of the State of Virginia’s Women in Arts month. Award winning songwriter and troubadour Victoria Vox has been making waves with her refreshingly modern use of the ukulele. Her original style is certainly contemporary, but it remains clear that her voice and songs themselves are at the heart of everything she produces. Victoria performed at Goose Creek Live with cellist Katie Chambers. Lisa Taylor is a mommy, therapist, singer-songwriter, guitarist and drummer from the Washington D.C. area. She is a two time WAMMIE (Washington Area Music Association) winner, A Kerrville New Folk Finalist, A Mountain Stage Finalist and a Formal and Tricentric showcase performer for the prestigious North East Regional Folk Alliance Conference. Her talents as a drummer, percussionist, arranger and vocalist are featured on over 40 albums, some of which have appeared on film and television. Lisa acted as musical director for a Goose Creek’s Songwriter Session. LEA was raised in Baltimore by a father who had traveled the world playing trumpet with the soul band, Black Heat and a mother who sang with the Jones Family Gospel Singers. When LEA was in middle school, she moved with her parents to the suburbs of DC. Shortly thereafter, she “discovered” classic rock music and began teaching herself to play the acoustic guitar by writing songs. LEA’s music is enjoyed by a variety of audiences who share in common an appreciation for pure, engaging vocalization, expressive guitar style, intelligent lyrics and skillful song craft.
