简介
Skanked-up and ready for the floor, this is a slice of what "Exploited" is all about - fun but jacking club wares. This is tropical party house for new wave techno heads from Malente&Dex. The last time we saw Malente&Dex was way back when "Hyperactive" was released on Shir Khan's label "Exploited" with a fat and galant note and a slew of mixes from Bobmo, Bird Peterson and Riva Starr. Moving on from the Super Rave Sound the "Bangkok"-EP has a more Tropical-Tech-Thing going on, a ton of trumpets and horns and a great collab with Bonde do Role, Analogik and New Kidz. Malente&Dex are no strangers to the scene. It is a nightlife name you can trust. Just check the playlists of folks like A-Trak, Riva Starr, Brodinski, Renaissance Man, Fake Blood or Tiga. If there’s a dancefloor fire getting started somewhere - anywhere! - a Malente tune has probably had something to do with it. Currently climbing up the Beatport Charts with his current release on Fools Gold, we are excited to present his latest EP "Bangkok" with his partner Dex - one of the hottest and best german artists around - on "Exploited". The title track "Bangkok" features a Thai singing vocal sample that is chopped up and effected to startling when set against the street rhythms and sultry rhyming of Bonde do Role. Freeform Five (Perspex) turn the version into a sexy Discostomper, while James Braun&Dan M (Mothership/Tartelet) deliver a stripped down modern jazzy Housetrack. dOP (Circus Company) simply bang on the drums - playing their remix already everywhere from Panoramabar to Rex Club -, and Idiotproof (Made to Play) bounce heavy big room styles for underground warehouse raves. "Lions" fingers Dancehall with a sticky house digit, featuring New Kidz bashment vocals remixed by Douster (ZZK). "Gipsy Kings" (performed by danish band Analogik) strikes for the Balkan gold with a jaunty house hybrid in a special version by the Round Table Knights (Deadfish). It's possessed by the spirit of a dismembered ska track with the voodoo of an after-hours back room club jumping across its grave. Last but not least, we have a secret weapon from Malente&Dex: "Hitchhiker" - a track that goes mental with the bassline. Even Norman Bates, his Mom and that fatal shower shake their booty to this.
