Rock Slide is a group of four from Cortez, Colorado, who have a lot of musical years under their belts, and a big enthusiasm for playing & entertaining. This group is passionate about “Keeping the Music Live”, and it shows as they perform many original Blues, Jazz, Country & Rock songs. The Band is comprised of 2 Cortez, Colorado Natives—Leo (Bam Bam) Herrera on drums & Dennis Knuckles on bass guitar; Thomas Martin Scott, originally of Florida, on guitar, saxophone and keyboard, and Jimmy (Wildman) McClain originally from Nebraska, on guitar. All the members have been playing from a young age, some professionally, and they love bringing their blend of musical talent and professionalism to venues in the 4-Corners area. Drive through Cortez, and you may hear the bass thumping in the Rock Slide music room off of Road H, where they are busy working up new original songs (and telling bad jokes).
