Jeff Dernlan currently lives in Philadelphia and plays regularly throughout the northeast corridor. His latest release, "Broadmoor," is an engaging alt-country outing which roams the Americana landscape with a knowing lay of the land. Recorded live in the studio with backing band, The Uninsurables, "Broadmoor" is an organic collection of well crafted material. Dernlan spent several years honing his skills in Nashville where he recorded his first album, "Lost in the Fray." Performing Songwriter touted the cd as the work of "...a master craftsman who proves style and substance can go hand in hand." During his tenure in Music City, Jeff collaborated with Rod Picott on the song "Not That Strong" which appeared on Picott's critically acclaimed debut album, "Tiger Tom Dixon's Blues, and contributed the song, "Erika's Radio," to David Stanley's, "Finding My Way." Jeff also founded the weekly music showcase, Shortsets, which The Nashville Scene praised as one of the cities best. Recently, Jeff has supported acts such as Kathleen Edwards, Todd Snider, Ray Wylie Hubbard, and Tim Easton and performed in some of the area's best venues including The Point, and The Living Room. His songs have appeared on radio programs throughout the country including Western Beat Radio, Fishing With Dynamite, and The Folk Salad Radio Show.
