These songs were made "to order" for fans who contributed to my 2013 Kickstarter Campaign. Or maybe it was 2012? I forget. It's taken me forever, as these things do... They are "homemade", that is, made in my living room, sometimes on the couch, just into the mic on the laptop (Cagon v Monkeydial). I didn't think anyone one would go for it, but they did. People were allowed two rewrites to get the song just right.

It is a sentimental collection for me. Songs were written for people who are no longer with us (Flowers). Songs were written for babies who are just now able to sing along (Beatrice). And two of these songs I sang at weddings of dear friends (Pelly Girl and Suburban Boy, and Cagon). Half were written for strangers who allowed me a small glimpse into their lives, for which I am really grateful. It is just another collection of ridiculous songs, but for all these reasons, they are very dear to me. It's not every day I get to hand someone a song: "Here, I made this for you."
