At a milonga (tango dance event) , couples dance together for he duration of a tanda (usually four songs), which allows them time to get to know each other. This CD can be used for small tango parties as dance music or for listening as it contains beloved traditional tango classics. The meaning of tanguero: The Oxford Dictionary describes tanguero as (1) “one who sings, dances, or an aficionado of tango” or (2) “something related to tango”. Cuarteto Tanguero’s goal is to expand the meaning of tanguero to “one who supports and helps expand the Argentine tango community." In one made up word, we want it to mean “moretango”.
