Inventionis Mater’s new album Zapping has been presented on the 13th of July in the beautiful St. Katharinen Kirche, Hamburg. Zapping, published by Visage Music and distributed by Materiali Sonori, resumes the latest musical experiences collected by the Duo playing around Europe.

Zapping connects harmonic and melodic quotes with Frank Zappa’s transcriptions. There are also included composers who have inspired Zappa such as Stravinsky or Varese, and a new piece written after Zappa by the Italian composer Michele Sarti or by the Duo itself. For this new album has for the first time joined the forces with the percussion player Nazareno Caputo.

The Inventionis Mater duo was born in 2011 and it is formed by the guitar player Andrea Pennati and the clarinetist Pierpaolo Romani; they are regularly invited to play at Festivals in Italy and around Europe (Germany, Portugal, Swiss, and England). On summer 2017 the Inventionis Mater duo will go on tour around USA and China.
