简介

We recently released our new album independently of a record company. The packaging is made from 100% recycled cardboard. We believe that it is important to make our environmental impact as little as possible. If you would like a copy, let us know. The Water Tower String Band lineup is: Cory Goldman on the banjo, who has studied the clawhammer style deeply, On the bass fiddle Ben Wheelhoss pumps out each note with pristine force. Josh Rabie lights up the fiddle with an electricity that is ever-pulsing, and Kenny Feinstein who drives the guitar and mandolin as effortlessly as air. The players in Water Tower come from a dense musical background. Cory received his degree in music performance from the University of Oregon with a focus on jazz (nintendo jazz in particular). He has played guitar and bass for many years. Cory is currently improving very quickly at the fiddle. He is also a talented finger-picker. Ben Wheeler received his degree in music from the U of O as well. He is an avant-garde composer as well as an accomplished jazz bassist. But Ben\'s focus is on tackling odd time signatures to the highest degree. Kenny Feinstein is pursuing a degree in Jazz studies at the U of O. He enjoys playing fiddle and banjo along with his other instruments. Josh Rabie plays all the instruments in the lineup as well. He is an accomplished three-finger banjo player as well as a driving flat-picker. Currently josh is pursuing a sociology degree. The Water Tower String Band met at the local Water Tower, a high-school hangout of ill repute. These young-uns brought together by their love of string band music play classic old-time and bluegrass tunes with a relentless youthful exuberance. Whether busking on a street corner, playing a show, or just pickin’ on the porch, their infectious love of the music spreads far and wide. Inspired by the current wave of Northwest old time bands like the Tallboys and Foghorn Stringband, and drawing from sources from the Reverend Jesus Tommy Jarrell to Bill Monroe, they create piledrivin’, scuttlebuttin’, string breakin’, hair-tearing, music that is sure to get the crowd dancing, or at least twitching uncomfortably with their fingers in their ears.
